Temperature Controllers
A temperature controller is a piece of equipment used to maintain a designated temperature. A temperature controller can operate at elevated temperatures to either heat or cool a system as needed. The units incorporate a pump, heater, cooling valve and PID controller. Temperature controllers are available with a variety of configurations using a wide range of pump (0.75 kW to 4 kW), heater (6 kW to 36 kW) and valve sizes. The experts at Thermal Care will help you select the required configuration to best match the needs of your system.
Types of Temperature Control Units
Thermal Care temperature control units are divided into three main families, classified according to the process fluid and the type of application:
- Water-based units – EW Series: the most widely used solution for standard industrial temperature control. Available in numerous pump and heater configurations, it covers the vast majority of process applications.
- Pressurized Water Units – EP Series: When the process requires temperatures exceeding the limit of water at atmospheric pressure, positive-pressure technology keeps the fluid in a liquid state, significantly expanding the operating range without resorting to oil.
- Oil Units – EO Series: Designed for the most thermally demanding processes, these units use thermal oil as the process fluid to achieve the highest temperatures with maximum stability and operational safety.
Thermal Care offers a wide selection of temperature control units (TCUs) to meet any application requirement. Our technical team is at your disposal to identify the optimal configuration based on your plant’s specifications.

The TC Series chiller is trouble free and requires very little maintenance. The TC Series chiller is trouble free and requires very little maintenance. In nearly 3 years, the only item that we have replaced is a process pump seal. The Turbocor compressor remains faultless and literally untouched for nearly 3 years. The remote access is fantastic for troubleshooting and provides a peace of mind during extreme weather conditions knowing that Thermal Care regularly monitors the system to ensure proper operation. There are absolutely some efficiencies with the system. On cold days we’ve seen as few as one of 16 fans running on the outside condensing units and the Turbocor compressors run at half speed in the winter months. -- Wayne Huerth, Tuf-Tite
